Repair Fair #15 – El Bar

Join us on Sunday May 20th from 10AM to 1PM at the El Bar (Backyard) in Kensington. Our team of volunteer Fixers will help you learn to make repairs to any broken item you can bring in! This is a free event; we want our neighbors to repair, rather than replace their possessions when they stop working.
Together we can decrease the amount of waste we create and reduce the amount of unnecessary purchases we have to make when things go wrong.
Hi I have a GPS which stopped charging. I saw a u-tube video where he said it could just be re-soldered, but that is beyond my ability. Can your fixers do something like that?
Those kinds of circuit-board-level soldering repairs are possible but we don’t always have the equipment to do them properly. There’s about a 50% chance we could help bring it back to life… it all depends on the individual item.
