FreeJoin us with a broken item at our monthly Repair Fair! You’ll be paired with a Fixer and work together to learn troubleshooting and repair skills.
The event is free but guests should sign up for a slot if possible; either 6-7pm or 7-8pm.
We open the signups 1 week prior to the event. You can SIGN UP FOR A SLOT HERE during that 1 week window. Also, an email with the sign-up link will be sent to everyone on our event notification list one week prior. We have limited slots each month, so sign up as soon as the window opens!
If all slots are full check back the day-of and day-before the event; we often get cancellations at the last minute! Check our calendar for the latest Repair Fair schedule. In general, we have events on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

My name is Kwame and I’m a grad student in Music at the University of Pennsylvania. I have been getting analog audio and physical media and I have a SONY Walkman FX-303. Actually, I have two. The working one plays my tapes at a pitch lower than its original key. The second one’s cassette player doesn’t work at all.
I’m hoping to visit it April. Would you happen to know what sort of parts I should bring with me for the FX-303s?

Hi Kwame.. it really depends on what the diagnosis shows. Worst case we can help you troubleshoot and if you need parts, we will advise on that. You may be able to make the repair later on your own or bring it back to another fair! This happens all the time.
